You are invited to join us in our annual homage to Dia de los Muertos / Day of the Dead with a cultural celebration in the tradition of the Hispanic Southwest. Community groups, guest artists and gallery members pay personal tribute to Dia de los Muertos with altars, ofrendas (offerings), paintings and sculpture. All events are free and open to the public, donations appreciated!
Saturday October 29 – 6:00 to 10:00 PM
Lighting of candles, blessing of altars & ofrendas, music by Mariachi Herencia de Mexico and Issa Mirazo, food, refreshments and children’s art activities.
Wednesday November 2 – 6:00 to 8:00 PM
Dia de los Muertos - Lighting of candles, music, community potluck, refreshments and children’s art activities. Music by Robert Lee Benton Jr.
Saturday November 6 – 6:00 to 8:30 PM
Lighting of candles, music, refreshments and children’s art activities.
Exhibition runs October 29 – November 19, 2005
Regular gallery hours: Friday and Saturday 1:00 – 5:00 PM or by appointment
